About my fotografía

Depression was the catalyst to my photography. I always loved it, I just never had the means or time to enjoy it. That changed during a very low period in my life when I couldn't find a way out of that darkness. I discovered the healing power of photography, found peace in slowing down the world with my lens and the sound of the shutter, comfort in capturing life, excitement in discovering stories in people's eyes.

I don't do it for money or likes, I have a career I love, but because everything seems to need a label, people do ask what "type" of photographer I am. My only response to this is... I'm the kind that takes photos. I will admit though, I love taking photos of people's faces. I respect the expertise, but all I care about is the way I feel when I'm holding that camera.
